Being a vegetarian who has the occasional vegan day in the week and who supports cruelty free campaigns and products I often wish that the wella products I use were also cruelty free. Sadly, they are not. This is always a problem for me as I often feel like a hypocrite as I use products that are not cruelty free. Hair colours, unfortunately, are rarely cruelty free or free from animal products such as lanolin or beeswax.
One product that I am using more and more in the salon is the manic panic range of vegan hair colour. A lovely product to work with, it has a thick creamy consistency that goes onto the hair easily and conditions as well as colours.
The manic panic portfolio of hair colours is expanding and they have fluorescent colours as well as a new range of pastel colours to join the High Voltage® Classic colors range that give you rich, bold color that lasts 4-6 weeks. Available in 44 shades.
My client today had two shades, shocking blue and ultra violet which I blended in various sections. Really vibrant colour that lasts 4-6 weeks. If you want longer lasting try the amplified range which lasts 30% longer and also conditions the hair.
These colours are great to use as a toner too. The colour Blue Steel is a great dark grey/silver one which will stop you needing to visit the salon for top ups of your toner as its faded so much.
Mango is a vegan friendly salon, you’re welcome to bring your own products if you prefer, and I will use them. I’m open to learning about any new animal cruelty products that you may be using that I’ve not heard about yet!
